He has Scunny in a play-off place and they might well be trading places with us next season if we don't turn things round. I suspect if he has any ambitions they might be higher than Barnsley FC.
On a serious note McClaren is apparently a brilliant coach it’s his man management & recruitment that lets him down. Certainly knows how to develop players but whether he’s still got the hunger for it is another question. Strachan isn’t really suitable for the role. Don’t know enough about Clement but would think that he’d be after a bigger club than us
Hard to say, we don’t really know who Hecky’s wanted out of most of our signings. Safe to say he’s wanted McBurnie, Mills, Moore, Isgrove & Mahoney but the rest I don’t know
McLaren said recently that he was keen to get back into management/ coaching. Grayson has turned down two offers of jobs down south cos he wants to stay in the north. He is would be very kean on Barnsley ( was told this by a friend of his last Friday!)
I think Simon Grayson’s a decent manager, he gets some flak on here but outside of Sunderland I think he’s done well in every other job I remember him taking & let’s be right Sunderland was a basket case of a club. It’s probably because of the Leeds connection he gets the flak. Did a superb job at a similar sized club to ours in Preston with a slightly bigger budget.
If hes so good why did he play for Shrewsbury most of his career. Another talker thats only managed teams with money
I'd like to see Nigel Clough.. Always done well on Burtons financial constraints, think he got a rough deal at Sheff Utd..
I'd like us to go after Paul Cook at Wigan. He has had success at all his clubs. We just need to show some intent and ambition
