I'd gladly play our days out in the National League if that was the choice that had to be made. Utterly loathe everything he stands for in football.
Good manager his football isn't pretty but its effective plenty of balls into the box gets results hence why cardiff are punching.
Well each to their own, I just prefer a team to try play football, try not to cheat and a manager who doesn't relish abusing all and sundry, whether under the veneer of being an actor, or just being downright vile. He's literally the only manager I can think of past or present where i'd completely switch off from the club. I even endured a few weeks of Bassett
Not the type of manager I’d want long term but as a relegation dog fighter he’s untouchable. Relegation will be an absolute disaster for us.
It’s irrelevant anyhoo as he is safely ensconced at Cardiff where he saved em from relegation and now has them competing for promotion...
Very true. Some just prefer results and not style. Personally I've always preferred it the other way, not that we've had much of either, and very very rarely both together.
Don’t get me wrong it’s only summat I would want for the next 3 months. Couldn’t cope beyond that. Maybe we should lure Mel Machin back out of retirement. We’d beat Weeds at their place and stay up.
Absolutely agree about Colin. If I had to put my house on us staying up I'd want him in charge. Relegation being a disaster depends on your definition of disaster.
I didn't want hecky gone but I think we were doomed with him in charge a change of personnel someone who can fire these players up may do us well. Something wasn't right Angus getting subbed at half time never to be seen again hecky lied about his health. Then apparently he has been applying for every championship job going and the new contract stinks.
Yeah I understand that I find it strange Angus was subbed at half time v reading and never played for us again. Maybe I'm putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 but wouldn't be surprised if Xmas cards wasn't exchanged between the two. Hecky even overlooked him for a makeshift center half in pearson when he was fit to play.
