I really thought we were going to exorcise some demons today with a show of determined, energetic, and penetrating attacking football. Whilst the performance was better than many, the outcome is same old crud. Who is going to get this lot really firing? We've nothing coming forward from midfield to back up the forwards. I think McB is now first choice striker but I'd like to see pacey Victor as a wild card selection against those teams at the bottom with us. I asked pre-season on another forum if Bradshaw has it for this league. Answers were mixed and the jury is still out for me. Still optimistic that with a more gung-ho mindset manager we will escape the drop. Caution will see us down.
He's had 5 days since the job was thrust upon him with no notice and no first team management experience what on Earth gave you the impression he'd had time to shake the team up from top to bottom
I naively thought the players might step up. You're right, I don't think PH2 could affect too much today. Maybe I was being unduly optimistic!!!
Exactly how many days is required! I walk into a new job and am expected to obtain results. Why are we so nice and soft? JFDI!
I think it's now 9 years since we last beat Wednesday, in February 2009 at Hillsborough. We could have gone for it 2nd half but seemed to settle for a point. So did they but they can afford to. We have to start winning or we'll stay bottom 3.
Biggest disappointment was the negative midfield selection. Either Mallan or Moncur would have been a more attacking option. Pity because Wednesday were there for the taking.
