As said above, Hull were one of the first small to middling clubs who got a new ground and some success and suddenly became 'massive' overnight. From Conference dodging at Boothferry Park, suddenly they're a Premiership club it seems to some folk. Swansea, Reading, Cardiff and Brighton are others who followed a similar deluded path. Half hearted protest tonight, no real impact on the match. Fair play to the fans if they feel they've been wronged, I'll always support fans trying to affect change, but it all seemed a little flat.
Because Coutts didn't get injured early enough in the season. If he had they would be a lot nearer us than the play offs. One man shouldn't make a team, but the difference without him is very noticeable.
Championship is crazy. We got played off the park by blunts at their place. We never got going. We bossed a very poor Hull at Oakwell, but couldn't score and got suckered. Tonight I was listening to blunts fans on radio saying how good they are and how they'll be in the playoffs, . . . . Then watched that! From what I've seen there is very little difference between a lot of teams in this league. Very fine margins when it comes to that bit of skill, creativity and belief. If we had someone to lead from the front this season, things could have been different. Sammy the snake was a massive loss to us. He was the last striker that defenders dreaded playing against.
