Morning everyone What a superb day we have in front of us. I have been out sledging this morning and built four snowmen. I’ve just come inside to settle down in front of the log fire to enjoy some homemade scones using currants that I picked from the garden last week. I came 7th in the flower arranging competition yesterday and won a 10 pound book voucher. It’s been a wonderful week so far. It will be a tough test against the Tigers tonight as they have some real strapping lads and it will be icy conditions. Come on the reds! George Spicer.
I love picking currants, reminds me of my summer backpacking around Bootle in '88. The currant bushes there are the most productive in the northern hemisphere.
Currants at this time of year, just curious but do you get rabbits in your garden because................ well done with the flower arranging btw!
Are you going to have a Swiss-style fondue. Have you got much white stuff up your passageway, must make it difficult for accessing your logs. Pip pip.
A lovely post to start the day with - but should we really be talking of snowmen in these days of equality etc. Generally it is quite impossible to assign a gender to snow creations so I think you should use the term snowPEOPLE in future.
You can tell if it's a snow woman.....snow balls.! I once had an affair with a currant picker in East Anglia. I think that's where my love of current affairs must come from. She also worked in a tiddlywink factory, but left because she found it was counter productive.
I'm beginning to wonder if this is the 2018 version of our old friend who used to regale us with tales of hat masks and dog turnstiles? He was funny but this "George" character is just, well........hard to describe it really. Certainly not funny and definitely not genuine I would say.
