This last week or so, I've started getting a short audio chime whenever I open the BBS, each time I click on a thread etc etc.. Every machine, every browser, all the same. Bit annoying if I'm listening to summat else whilst wasting time on here. Anyone know how to turn it off?

I use Chrome, and if I right click on a tab I can choose to "mute tab" which turns all sounds within the tab off....

Is the 'chime' coming from the chat box? That does make a noise in every tab that the message hasn't been seen in. To turn that off go to 'settings' next to the chat box and then untick all the sounds boxes. It may be worth trying just in case?

Yep that works. Never had to do this before though - dunno why the site suddenly started with the audio alerts! Ta.

Thanks JD. This has been bugged me for months! I've spent ages convinced it was Adblock playing up just on this site.
