Hammill must make the squad Tuesday. I can’t understand the bosses constant insistence of not including him. Power trip?

We had a few power trips during the recent cold weather.

We haven't seen this 3 pronged new layout upfront fully working at home yet.

If that's the future, can't see Hammill within it.

    Probably rightly so.

We make too many changes if you ask me. Players seem to go from 1st team to not even being in squad. Seems very random.

Very very strange selections and not looking like it’s having any benefit

    Bring back Davies.

Centre backs = Lindsay, and perm 2 from 3 Jackson, Pinnock, Mills.

Full backs, Yiadom, plus perm Cavare, Pinillos, Fryers.

Midfield will be Williams, Gardner + one other. Potts/Moncur/Thiam/Yodeller.

Oli McMessi and Big Lad up front.

No room for 'luxury' of Hammill or Isgrove in this boss's thinking. Midfielders need to be more 'complete'. And I'm with him. Glory days of League One can't work in this division.

    Believe!

Is it a luxury to pick Hammill in front of Hedges when he is clearly a all round better footballer? Or just common sense?

Might be that he's not managed a goal or an assist in the league all season

When I left St. Andrews I thought Jose had landed on a defined way of playing and the players who best fitted that. Since then all he has done is tinkered for tinkering's sake and taken us backwards to where nobody has a clue what the strongest team is again.

Why Yiadom was dropped for Cavare at Hull is in the Robbie Williams in centre midfield level of baffling and was totally unnecessary. Why he did it again yesterday sets a whole new precedent in terms of stubborn managerial rotational ****** bingo fcukwittedness.

Why? He hasn't scored for ages and I think he's assisted 1 goal all season, putting sentiment aside unfortunately he (ane many others) haven't been good enough.

Very true but the other options are worse.

Have to keep in mind Birmingham are worse than us. Most of the other teams in the league aren't.

What we need right now are those with passion and commitment to the cause.
What I witnessed in the first half yesterday was abject surrender to the inevitability of defeat.
The selection was ludicrous, the performance embarrassing. Quite how Cavare was favoured over Yiadom I will never know and if you are going to play Hedges, who has looked lively and threatening as a sub, at least play him on the left!
The introduction of Isgrove had an immediate effect. Harrying, probing, chasing down, looking like he gave a ****, just like Hammill would have done if given the chance.
Now really is not the time for experimental tinkering and playing a different side every week apart from Williams and Gardner who should never play as a central pairing again.
    And bring back Davis.

No assist this season and 50 games without a goal. He's not been consistent for three seasons.

8 goals in his 61 games over this season and last. Not a bad return considering he's been a bit part player in most of them.

Non of our players have been consistent though. Not trying to suggest Hammill has been good or even worth a place in the team. It's just my opinion that he would currently be well ahead of Hedges in the pecking order.

Not trying to have a go but this assist thing I keep reading is absolute ********, I can think of at least 2 he should’ve had where Bradshaw & Barnes missed complete sitters, Hammill was our best player for the first 6 weeks of the season & put plenty of good balls in the box but we had Bradshaw & Ugbo up front.

If he’d been playing for 5 months with McBurnie & Moore in the box then no assists would have more of a meaning.

I’m not trying to say Hammill’s had a good season as he hasn’t & after that first 6 weeks he’s been disappointing but he’s still been far better as a starting option than someone like Hedges

Goals win games and he's scored none. Zilch. Even Hedges has a couple from fewer appearances.

But I get your point with the assists. You're right in that he's not had any time with McBurnie and Moore, forwards who will actually win a header in the box and attack the balls he puts in.
