Going to be in town earlier than usual tomorrow, and need to feed the daughter. Anywhere recommended for something to eat? Not been in town for that long, I don't know what places are even open.
A great place I like is "the Glyn Owain" absolutely fantastic food.... but you may just be late for kick off as its just outside of Cardiff.. hope this helps.
It has been known on a Tuesday night when we are rushing, to call in at the Oakwell Sandwich shop for pie and peas. Just thought we'd take our time over something a bit nicer....
Aroma Café is really good as is Parker’s. Other than that maybe 8oz Burger Co but then you’re into the chain pubs/restaurants such as Grill Pit, Glasshouse, Brammah, etc.
Looks like it's going to have to be one of the chains. Most of the cafe bars close at 5pm ish, which is when we'll arrive.
I've been in the Turkish place that used to be the Whitehart Hotel , think they call it The Lemon Tree on Peel Square its not bad
Cafe ruelle just up from bus station does tapas open late. Think they have a 3 tapas and wine which I think they would substitute for beer or soft drink for £16. That’s any tapas off the menu and the quality when I was there was very good. Tapas starts at 5pm normal fayre prior.
Grille Brammahs Pasha Lemon tree Ooooooo bar White bear Garrison Civic Cafe ruelle Taco Bell Grill pit One momento Silkstone
Not sure if you've looked but they do have a website, was quite good when I was there a few weeks back.
Yes, been looking at all the websites mentioned - it looks worth a visit. My daughter might decide otherwise, but thanks for the suggestion as I'd definitely like to give it a try. Not living in Barnsley any more, I'm actually surprised at the amount of new places to eat.
