Personally I think it’s barmy to even consider it given they are spending money fixing long term problems off the field which indicates they are here for the long haul. I think some folk (not you) just want to go back to the supposed safety of the bubble
Again do some folk listen to interviews ? Chien Lee himself has said that whilst unwanted, relegation would not deter them - they are here for the long haul. Obvs lying to us like. There's some insular types about.
Thank you. I see that Lee does not himself directly talk about relegation, but the author feels that it is not something that would faze him. He does however make the comment about the long haul, which was something that was said about the press conference. It seems by implication that there will be no rush to achieve any progress, which seems consistent with the limited investment in the team in January and the stagnation interms of current performances. Meanwhile, some of us are looking for entertainment! A very good evening to you.
Are you new to this message board ??? Wernt you around in 01/17 ??? Didnt you see comments on here about Patrick Cryne not having enough money to sort players contracts out ??? As for this squad - if this squad had been put together in the summer then we would be well clear of relegation. The only reason we are not free of the relegation zone right now can only be laid at the door of Jose Morais. This squad is easily good enough to stay in the Championship.
It doesn’t matter how many times you keep saying it, it won’t make it true 7 wins from 38 indicates the team is not the one you describe.
I hope you are right. As far as I am concerned, relegation is going to happen and I can't see anything which is likely to prevent it. I just want to see us doing alright. It was nice when we were owned, managed and captained by Barnsley people but it isn't sustainable unless Conference North is the long-term destination. I hope you are right, and that the owners see the job through. I hope they are capable, and that we end up flirting with the Premiership. If the plan is executed properly, I believe that is possible. Relegation is going to set us back, though. We need to bounce back first time and I am not sure we will.
Relegation could happen. At the moment it is a straight fight between us and Birmingham, and we have the advantage in goal difference. Can we get more points that Brum over the last 8 games? Possibly - especially as we beat them as their ground recently. Both of us could yet overtake Reading, who are only 3 points clear (with a better GD). Are we relegated yet? - No. Is our survival guaranteed? - No. Is it looking good? - probably not, but the fat lady is not singing yet and probably won't even be warming up for another six rounds of matches...
I don't think we are capable of beating anyone 3-0 like Birmingham have just done. The worry is that they are likelier to improve than we are.
Birmingham can surely only improve under Monk. He staved off relegation in his first season at Swansea. He had just won away at Wednesday when Boro fired him, although Pulis has done better since.
