    Nope.
    We have never played 442 for any length of time this season - because:
    1) under Hecky we didn’t have the strikers to play that formation - and Hecky said that.
    2) we haven’t played that system regularly under Morais even tho we now have the strikers to play that system.

    I said ' we've tried' all these systems and still lost . Systems and formations don't win or lose football matches it's players that do .

    Agreed. I think that during 38 games we've pretty much tried everything, and with everybody.

    Most other teams have better players and that's about the long and short of it.

    By playing different formations you're just moving a player to play against a different player with better ability in another position.

    I think that all we can hope for is that one or two teams can't be arsed by the last few games because they've nowt to play for.

    If we play 442 it has to be Gardner and Williams in the midfield 2. Nobody else could play in a 2 with the exception of maybe Potts. I'd play 442 with Hammill and Isgrove out wide and McBurnie and Moore up front.

    Many won't like that but with the 2 central midfielders instructions simply to get it wide to allow Hammill and Isgrove to get the ball into the box - with Yiadom and McCarthy providing overlaps.

    Whatever system we play, McBurnie needs to be closer to Moore than he was on Saturday.

    We did look better with Mallan and Gardner together than with Williams and Gardner together though, but it seems we HAVE to play them both !
