I've still got to stick out another 5 years to reap the benefits of that policy as long as it isnt changed in the meantime I am sure I will be renewing this month
I’ve just renewed for me and my lad, his was a tenner rather than free but I understand why they’ve done that. I selected the add to pass option and there were no fees at all. Championship, league one, whatever, it’s not like we wouldn’t be coming regardless. Might as well back them now and save a few quid.
You're gonna have to get past me first! *wildly overestimates the shooting-angle and loses last life*
Haha, no-one is in any danger of my feeble attempts. I wonder if they are planning on doing a live leaderboard?
Like others have said, I too am struggling to muster up the energy and effort to renew. Been a supporter for 38 years and season ticket holder for the last 20 years, my eldest son has been going with me for the last 8 years he's 14 this year and spends most of the time on his phone playing games. It's not just Barnsley but football in general, very rarely watch any Premier league or any other football when it's on the telly. After 10 minutes of trying to watch an international I'm turning it over, it's the sport in general I've come disillusioned with. The way it's governed, the accountability of officials and the way that supporters are treated across the board. Maybe I will take in a few away games next season instead and maybe that will reignite the fire that is slowly dying out
Can't say I'm too pleased about that pricing. I don't want to commit to a season ticket in April when I don't know what league we're going to be playing in... assuming we're in with a chance of surviving still. So I'm either having to shell out £330 this month which I hadn't budgeted for until the summer with less than 30 days to make sure I can. Or be fined £75 later in the year for not being a willy tickling obsessive. Feels a lot like being held to ransom and I'd imagine there are a lot in the same boat as me.
The price for my East Stand Upper ticket has gone up £20, from £370 to £390 (5.4% increase). Given that prices have been static for me for the last 4 seasons due to early bird/price freezes, I can't complain at that regardless of which league I'll be watching. I'm less impressed by the Young Adult rate, which has gone up £70, from £145 to £215 (48.3%). But the good news is that my lad's earning now, so he can pay for his own. He doesn't know about that yet, so please don't spoil the surprise . So overall, instead of the £515 I paid last year, I'll only pay £390 (a reduction of 24%). COME ON YOU REDS!
Has anyone worked out why they are charging an extra £1.50 online despite it clearly saying the price shown is EXCLUDING any fees? Also why does it say this? "75p per order for standard ticket postage £1.50 per Season Pass for standard postage" Does that mean that to have 5 matchday tickets posted it is 75p but to have one season ticket posted it's £1.50? Or does it mean it's 75p plus £1.50 for a season ticket?
perhaps a phone call or a trip to the box office is in order, I am assuming you are in a reasonable distance to do so. Then they may update the system .
Yep. And that would be an increase of £90 (17%). It's my son's final year at YA level and I think his discounted rates have been bloody good value for money. It's probably also had the desired effect of turning him into a Reds fan for life. Poor devil...
