Last 10 games before today: Today: And as you say, we've had chances, just not stuck them away. Amazing what a difference it makes
Why do people make knee jerk posts during a game ? Surely it is wise to see the game out before giving your thoughts , especially when it gives you time to think before you speak
Not only did we win from a losing position in the league - but we did it on the back of 2 subs - Hammill's shot and Bradshaws goal. Think the Morias haters should pipe down, its not his team, he's not had a single transfer window, nor a pre-season and people have already hung him out to dry, talk about fickle.
Hecky negative?! That’s a strange one. A manager who’s favoured formation was 4-4-2 & loved attacking football. We only played 4-5-1 so much this season because of our lack of strikers. As soon as Moore signed in January he went straight back to 4-4-2
His persistence with williams and gardener was very adventurous, the qpr game when they went to 10 men, I was also referring to his negative words and basically saying the players were not good enough
Are you all feeling ***** after calling him and his late subs turning it round. Call yourself Barnsley Fans. Enough said
Of all the managers in my lifetime I don't remember any being given less chance than Morais. Came in on a downward spiral, none of his own players and everything is his fault. Very frustrating.
The strange thing is that, if the last couple of games are any indication, there is a decent chance that Morais knows exactly what he is doing. I thought he got it spot on yesterday, starting line up, subs, the lot. Give the bloke a chance. Even if we go down, it is categorically not a definitive judgement of his capabilities.
Dunno, I think that the knives were out for Davey from the start. His spell as caretaker was uninspiring, and to be given the job full-time after the 0-3 debacle against Sheffield Wednesday probably didn't do him any favours. Plus the fact that he was rumoured to be a complete and utter cap end.
Made that Bristol goal all the more painful- thought those 3 points would be a turning point. Hopefully yesterday was.
Morais has now had 9 games. W2 D3 L4, and we really should have beaten Bristol on good Friday. He has us 5 points in front of Burton and Sunderland and 2 points behind Bolton with a game in hand. AND we've just scored 3 goals against a very good blunts team. People don't like his formation or that Mcburnie is playing wide of a 3, but he's scoring, and we're creating plenty. Harvey Barnes scored quite a few from wide positions if I remember right. Heckingbottom wasn't any better, and still isn't winning games at Leeds, but many people were singing his name. Morais is here for the foreseeable, no one else is going to come in between now and May and guarantee survival so we need to get behind him and send him and the lads the right vibes.
What persistence? Gardner only played once before December & Hecky left at the end of January. How often did he say the players weren’t good enough? I’m a sad **** who listens every press conference. From my view he spent most of the time defending the players saying they’re works in progress & trying to get the fans behind them. He’s not a negative manager, never has been. Only restricted because of our lack of forward options August - January
Jeeze when will ppl stop the head in bottom love. The arrogance in his good bye notes was enough. Hecky had limited tactical knowledge, was lucky to get a team with players signed previous managers, already in a cup final and was able to carry on the form started by a previous manager.
