boy could we have done ourselves a big one tonight. At least all stays the same at the bottom bar Sunderland's point. Next game - next cup final.
Let’s hope we learn our lesson for the next two games against “on the beach” teams. That was perhaps the easiest game we had left given the unrest, the injuries, their form and their league position. We have barely won all season, so expecting 2 on the bounce was always unlikely. On to Saturday. Just be glad when this whole season is over to be honest.
We don't, but that won't have meant anything to our players will it? They just didn't turn up against a side on the beach whose manager is off at the end of the season.
Win saturday and then just better the points total of Bolton for a couple of games, with the advantage of us having one extra. Simple
Totally agree, I’ e Said so myself in the past but funnily enough these things seem to happen in football
I think tonight’s been a really good one for us. That sort of team are the worst type for us to come up against, solid & able to capitalise on our mistakes, we’ve lost home & away to both Cardiff & Ipswich which isn’t surprising. McCarthy & Warnock will love coming up against a young inexperienced side like ours. So I expected us to lose & Burton, Birmingham & Bolton have all lost as well which is great for us & Norwich’s late equaliser means Sunderland & Burton are almost certainly relegated. So it’s 3 teams for 1 spot & we play Bolton at home & have a game in hand on them. In January they lost their best player & we’ve signed McBurnie & Moore so they’ve got weaker & we’ve got better. Everything says it’s in our own hands & we should stay up.
