Yes - we have finally got the contracts sorted with a group of players of whom few are worth retaining.

Mourinho would have the same problem with the squad we have. In my mind he has played better football than we were seeing under Head-in-bottom, but we are incapable of playing for 90 minutes, as we have too many youngsters.

To be honest I wouldn't have him here next week it was a gamble that just hasn't worked unfortunately like at least 20 gambles on players made in the last 3 transfer windows

Not seen anything that has made me think that the coach knows and has applied anything that Hecky couldn't have.

Which doesn't make either of them good or bad.

It just tags Jose as no improvement.

If we stay up there are heavy question marks about a lot. All ( other than Fryers) are easily good enough for L1.

After watching Barnsley today, it’s blatantly obvious José is out of his depth.
We can blame the players, we can blame Hecky, I blame Jose.
Chasing a game we are desperate to win, we bring a player on that’s not featured at all in the last 5 or 6 games.
May be I’m missing a trick, may be the old saying,” he needs game time to get upto speed”, is absolute custard.
I tend to believe game time improves players match sharpeness, but obviously not in Jose’s cotton candy world!!!!.

Wouldn’t want him to stay on if we go down.Would rather have uwe rosler type who knows league 1 but if he performs a miracle and keeps us up then he probably deserves another crack at it.

Jurys out for me as he's wasting mcburnie on the wing him and moore are 60 yards apart nearly all game. Fryers is a definite weak link and why have 3 wingers on bench today and then bring the one least likely to make an impact on as sub. I would go five at back with pinnock and cavare/or McCarthy at rb.

I dont know, this is a tough one to be honest and I cant properly decide on this until our own fate is decided for this season.
I was excited at his/Jose's appointment at first because I really wanted us to step away from the 'one of our own' thing which had become stale under Hecky. I do keep asking myself if Harsley for the rest of the season would have been a better option, but we wont ever know that now will we.

Wasted on the wing, what is it now 8 goals in 11 or something.... not bad for apparently being wasted on the wing

If you ask a fan in Portugal that José is our Manager, they would inform you that they are surprised that he is at a small club like Barnsley. He is highly rated in his own country.

Strange that we sign loads of attacking midfielders and when Potts goes off and Moncur is ready to be subbed we have no AMs on the bench only wingers left and we are not playing well with 442. Shame hecky let Mcgeehan, Mowatt and Bird go out on loan they may have done ok in Joses 433.

I don’t think Mowatt will do well in any position.

Yeah I was surprised to see no Mallan or Knasmullner on the bench, although not sure how much defensive protection they would’ve provided.

I think with the 3 players you’ve mentioned out on loan there’s only really McGeehan that surprises me as I thought he’d be a useful squad player this season. However, I get that he wanted more minutes to aid his recovery.
