It doesn't matter who our previous manager was. Stop obsessing over him. We were in 19th and 5 points outside the relegation zone when Morais was appointed. Now we're 22nd and 2 points in the relegation zone. So Morais has lost 7 points in 12 games. I've no agenda. Just facts. We've seen a 7 point turnaround in 12 games. With McBurnie in the squad who's been a revelation. And he's still taken us backwards. 7 point swing in 12 games. This is a fact.
I don’t dispute that but we don’t play in isolation. Other teams have improved their PPG, we haven’t.
They might have the same or similar points per game. And I was not of the opinion Heckingbottom was particularly great. But let’s just assess the facts. Under Hecky we had no forward line for most of the season. He brought in Moore but only had him for a game or so before he upped and ****** off. McBurnie was last minute just before he jogged. Our record against the other teams in the bottom five or six under PH was very good. Morais has had games at home to Burton and Bolton and we were lucky to scrape a point out of the two. We have a free scoring forward and another one winning the ball and holding it up, something we’d been desperate for, yet we have not improved one iota in terms of points and results. Morais is baffling in his team selection, quotes the word ‘believe’ in interviews more than Keith Hill used to drop in song lyrics and looks about as inspiring as a three toed sloth on the touch line. I’ve said he deserves a chance, this isn’t his squad, but I’m beginning to think he doesnt, that the board should hold their hands up and admit they got it wrong and get shot now.
I know, playing bradshaw up on his own was one of the many baffling decisions made though in fairness to morais given what Moore achieved as a sub he may have been right to drop him!
He obviously meant fifth bottom. Hardly an idiot. It WOULD take an idiot to wifully take as intentional wording that was clearly a mistake.
