Bob darn some info, I've an idea I'm thinking abart. PS I was, for Spurs tho, at Oakwell 86 I think coz the BFC mascot was already booked in and I had a liking of Spurs aswell back int day. Thanks in advance.
Stoke at home 94/95 season won 2-0 can’t really remember much apart from Danny Wilson giving me 50p when I was in the changing room, warming Watson up when we’d come out of the tunnel. That’s abart it.
My two sons were mascots against Port Vale at home during Alan Clarke"s second spell , we lost 3 v 0 & had Stevie Cooper sent off , so I do not think they could be called lucky mascots !
My eldest was mascot in 08/09 against Forest. 1-1, Stephen Foster was captain and probably the nicest bloke in football I've ever met.
Nephew was in 13/14.. Home to Yeovil. Walked out with Martin cranie, we drew 1-1 (Marcus tudgay penalty). I believe that Kieffer Moore was on the bench for Yeovil
A guy called Paul Heckingbottom was mascot around 1987 I think. Maybe you could give him a shout? I'm sure he'd be delighted to help.
My old mate, Amos the Donkey, was mascot for the 1912 FA Cup Final. After many years as a successful after dinner speaker, he slipped into alcoholism and, sadly, lost his battle in 2013 at the ripe old age of 109.
RIP Amos, I remember bowling against him in a championship match at Locke Park in 88, looked frail back then but was always polite.
Walk past Fozzy most home games on way to east stand, takes his son to match. Shame he has nothing to do with the club anymore because it’s obvious that it still means a lot to him.
