I do actually sympathise with YN (although I absolutely realise that it's not the end of the world). And I'm saying that as someone who, at age 15, hitchhiked to Port Vale on the 29th April 1972 to see us lose 1-0 and get relegated to the 4th Division. I just can't face seeing us relegated, given the circumstances, and I have no hope at all that that we can avoid it. I think I dislike the current team more than just about any in 52 seasons. I've already renewed for next season...

I'd still go if we're in the conference to be fair.

Makes a change from him not being able to face seeing us gain promotion. Didn't he leave the millennium stadium early because he couldn't handle seeing us win?

I was convinced we were going to lose that game right up to Trundle missing that sitter. After that when the pens came I was confident it was our day.

Well I know the feeling. If I am listening on the wireless to an away game and we concede a goal - I switch it off. This season has been particularly trying - especially the long run of home games until a win - against Sheff Utd. I certainly will be at tomorrow's match and if we are relegated will be disappointed. It hasn't stopped me renewing my season ticket. I want to see a fighting display from the team - nothing less is acceptable. But if we lose or draw and Brentford were the better team - then that's life. Three teams go down every year...

I understand you did not go to promotion game either (Millwall - Wembley). Heartbreaking?
