We beat a good side today. They aren't where they are from luck. Dean Smith is a really good manager and got a good blend of foreign and British players, without spending massive amounts of money. They weren't the biggest or most physical side we've played. But it was nice to play a team that wasn't dirty and play it the right way like we did to get from league one. Special mention to Ryan Woods who they got off Shrewsbury. Like a talented ginger version of David Perkins.

I wonder if Natalie Sawyer was in the away end now Sky have sacked her.

They were very good for the first 15 minutes and then faded badly. A lot of our chances came from them needlessly giving the ball away and stupid areas.

Thought we handled them well and limited the number of clear cut chances they had to nil.

That Ryan Woods looks like a really decent player.

As for Brentford, I’m not sure about them. They passed it around the back okay but didn’t really ever cut us open in our half. I don’t remember Walton having much of a save to make if I’m honest. At the other end, Kieffer could’ve easily had a hat trick today.

I’m sure Brentford have played much better than they did today.

I agree. Their fans are a credit also if the ones I met today are anything to go by. Rather like us they feel their team is not nasty enough; getting in the refs face and all that **** we’ve had to put up with all season. It’s probably no coincidence that the ref had a good game today. Both sides made it easy for him.

1,444 is more than they usually bring. I agree about being nasty. Ref had a really easy game as nobody acted up. A couple of times he ran like his life depended on it as if he was expecting to break something up.

Like Brentford & follow a similar but better implemented plan to ourselves.

If we stay up we need to be targeting talents like they did for Ollie Watkins if we are looking for talent in lower leagues. Plenty about if you’re willing to spend a bit more coin.

I think we would have liked Watkins but he went for a lot of money for a 4th division player who was shocking in the play off final.
