I’ll be honest I still have a gut feeling we’re going down. Burton have hit form at just the right time and think they’ll have enough to beat a nervy Preston. Basically I fancy Burtons chances against Preston higher than our own against Derby. Who knows. We’ll probably both lose and bloody Bolton, in utter dogs form, will pox a result against Forest who despite smashing us a week ago don’t turn up against Bolton.
I believe we will stay up, said it all along and still believe it. I have absolutely no evidence to back this up, other than there are at least 3 other teams as bad, so we only need to improve a little bit to stay up.
So many permutations think my belief fluctuates throughout the day. Currently reckon we'll all draw and therefore stay up. Expecting 90 mins of panic and anxiety.
I wasn’t at that Wigan game but I seem to remember that their rookie goalkeeper made some contribution to our winning that one. Perhaps Derby will rest their first teamer and put the U18s lad in goal?
I was there seem to recall a couple of dodgy decisions by him but it was their first team outplayers so no excuses imo. Lads played well that day and went behind first so great determination in first place. Different scenario on Sunday though Wigan were already up but Derby all to play for .
I've had a feeling since the Wednesday home game that we might be the ones going through the trap door. Frankly, i've no idea how it will go. If we go down, I think that will be deserved. If we scrape up by the skin of our teeth... I'll take it and hope we can undo whats been a horrendous season in so many ways.
I keep changing my mind. Could be a shocking afternoon in terms of my emotional state. I'd be happy if ourselves Bolton and Burton are all 3 0 down at half time.
