Yeah, I know, but "spherical" is a widely accepted term when describing a planet... Same as a day isn't technically 24hrs... But, you know, that's what we say...
Dinosaurs didn't evolve to a humanoid state because that is not the most practical state for long-term survival of the species. Humanoids, including monkeys, have been around for a few million years. Sharks, crocodiles and a few other fish and reptile species have been around in a similar form for over 100 times longer. Cockroaches are immune to many of the biological and evolutionary threats that could wipe a weak species like ours out in a short period of time. That is a similar argument to those that try to debunk evolution by asking why when we evolved from monkeys (we didn't), monkeys still exist. In truth, humans evolved in parallel with other species of apes, and going back far enough have the same ancestors who evolved to adapt to there environment - tree dwellers typically became smaller with a prehensile tail, land dwellers larger, with different adaptations for diet and climate. If you look at the fossil record, neanderthals had larger brains than humans and were either killed as competition or mated with humans until they no longer existed as a pure species. I believe a significant proportion of the human population now still has some neanderthal genes. BTW over the next few hundred years some common varieties of human we see now are likely to become much less prevalent, such as IIRC the natural blonde hair/blue eye combination. The gene that causes sickle cell is an adaptation that helps protect against malaria.
Yeah missing something.... Whether it is or it isnt, thats not my point. What im saying is i was taught along with everyone else that the earth is round. We take what we are taught as youngsters as gospel from the professionals, what if some of the things we are taught arent correct? Topics like this interest me, whether its a load of ***** or not.
In GCSE Chemistry, you are taught one model for the arrangement of electrons around an atom. At A level that changes to a different model and the GCSE one is rubbish. At higher level Physics or Chemistry, you learn something different still. So electrons go from "solid" objects orbiting an atom to discrete objects exhibiting wave/particle duality depending on their state.
I think there would be more flat earth believers and that they would have credible evidence but apparently every time they try the fkrs fall over the edge
What is it if it's not a sphere then? What causes the seasons? What about gravity? How do satellites work? Why do constellations move in the sky? Why don't flat earthers send a camera up tied to a weather balloon? What about the fact that measurement of seismic waves proves that it's a sphere?
What a load of b**ls...just to prove it once and for all I took my spirit level out , and my block paving was perfectly flat...a bit lumpy over the Fuschia and Wisteria but onto the lawn it was perfectly flat again...flat earth no doubt.
I'm not saying it's flat or a sphere.. What I'm saying is.. there's heil a lot of *scientific evidence" that clearly doesn't add up to what your told to be the norm..
