.....and I don't thnk he will I offered......Jack Ross. Get back in for him. Progressive young manager. Perfect for Division 3.
I'd be happy with that. However I fear that, now he has earned a crack at the Scottish Premiership that no matter how ***** that league is perceived to be, he wouldn't want to swap it for our third tier. However, triple his wages (which won't be high), offer him time and a realistic budget and see what he thinks. We could do worse.
Good call but would he come to us especially now we have dropped down a league, but a good up and coming manager
Who's his contacts abd influences n the game. End up with three kane henmings doubles two Alex neills and another dobbin
I don't know whether we'll go for a young up and coming manager/Head Coach (eg. Jack Ross, Dan Crowley, Gareth Ainsworth, Nathan Jones), an established & experienced bloke (eg. Mick McCarthy, Stuart McCall, Chris Coleman, Graham Alexander, Uwe Rosler), an internal appointment (eg. Paul Harsley, Bobby Hassell, Martin Devaney), or a new kid on the block (eg. Michael Carrick,). But I'd love it to be sorted out fairly quickly with little procrastination. However, whoever is appointed, I accept it won't be met with universal approval.
That would be the worst possible outcome. Simply because, at L1 level, what you really need is someone who has a good understanding of the muck and nettles that comes with that level, and a good knowledge of the realistic targets that would succeed at that level and build for the future. Not someone who speaks 6 languages and knows the French league. I'll really get my titty lip out if we get another Morais.
Some of you simply haven’t thought this through, sing along now... Steve Gerrard, Gerrard, will fall on his ******* arse, like Murty and Caixhina, Steve Gerrard, Gerrard.... Rangers 2012 Franchise fire the gobby Scouse failure, and go for Derek McInnes of Aberdeen. Aberdeen go for Jack Ross, just like they did with another wonderful young St Mirren manager - you may have heard of him, won some stuff with Manchester United.... and Jack Ross follows Sir Alex Ferguson (get well soon Fergie) to a gig in the EPL. I’m not saying Man Utd, but the EPL. With all due respect, Jack Ross isn’t heading for a third-tier club in England, despite our ‘*****’ football up here.
Mick McCarthy will not be coming to Barnsley. He's quoted as saying he wants a crack at managing in the Premiership. Failing that, he'll go to another Championship club. There's no way he'd drop down to League One. I think the best we can hope for is someone in the mould of a Stuart McCall or if we offer enough Michael Appleton. He doesn't appear to be a popular choice with some of our fans, but for me, Steve McClaren could be the ideal choice to get us playing well and challenging at the right end of the table.
