Do we reckon they will reassess the cost of the season tickets considering we've gone down? Paying short of 500 quid to watch league one football seems a bit steep in my opinion. I think they will have to have a look at it, considering those who didn't buy within the early bird offer. I can see it as the only way of getting fans back onside. A good managerial appointment and investment in the playing staff is all well and good, but we've got owners who are more than comfortable in terms finances now, therefore the need for steep prices toward the fan could be not so much done away with but relaxed, get the fans in for a promotion campaign next year, get Oakwell packed. Onward, upward and glad to see that's already started today, new reign back the new gaffer and back the players we keep and bring in. YOU REDS!!
I understand what you are saying. I do agree with you definitely. But what about the fans that already got the early bird deal?
Yeah I couldn't agree more as a whole it requires looking at imo. I always thought it was a tough one without even knowing what division we would be in. But yeah, the ones that took advantage of the early bird deserve as much of a reduction etc with them buying so early on. Or to be brought in line should they reduce tickets below what they paid prior to the offer ending.
£200 max, any area. Refund the difference to the early-birders. Promote it to ****. Minimal £££ loss to our owners - wouldn't even register as a blip on their cash-radar. As usual, an absolute no-brainer and a quick & easy win to re-engage with the fans after this season's fiasco. But also as usual, they won't do a thing.
last season we got ours at last minute had to graft like mad to pay it off ,worst money i've ever spent, was on holiday for 2 of the home wins so paid about 250 quid a win
Agree totally, and it wouldn't bother me at all that I have already renewed mine. It won't happen though unfortunately
Bradford have managed to do it, cheap season ticket prices and maintained a competitive side in the division. I maybe wrong but I'm sure they've had approx 18500 season tickets sold last season. That's what we need, not saying the cheap prices would entice all the fans, but if it was made cheap they would sell. The numbers that would sell would soon make the difference financially up I reckon. I think Bradford offered their early bird offer at £169 for the season tickets for am adult.
Just checked my post early bird price and it’s now up to £391.50 for Ponty End. Sorry, but looks like it’s PAYG for me now. Can see me drifting and not bothering any more, like so many of my mates have over the years.
Can fully understand that, and its sad. Why on earth the club feel it proactive to charge this price I will never know. Mate who came with us today hasn't renewed and now says he will just do away games next season. So that's money the club are missing out on.
Disagree really. Just because people didn't take the early bird offer doesn't not make them a "true red" can't imagine all of the true reds out there only get that title cos they went for the early bird offer. There's many that will more than likely pay more than the early bird offer prices to watch league one football. Aren't they true reds too?
Anyone that decides they're gunna spend their hard earned on watching Barnsley and paying whatever price they pay to do so for me is a true red. Not a case of when you manage you pay for your ticket.
Of course not, he just said he would like to visit new grounds (new to him) He was undecided on if to renew or not, once the early bird deadline went he says that's it. That's the point I was making. Anyone who hasn't renewed/bought one now surely won't? I would love to know come August how many we have sold post April. Just seems a pointless pricing structure.
