As just dropped to third fav from no where to 10/1... anyone lumped on?.. Now this wouldn't surprise me if Bobby got the job, due to our owners last appointment i'd expect owt. If they don't have a clue... and all the names being mentioned are just names to them, Then to least they know Bobby, so he may be asked to take over just on that point alone... Which I would find worrying to say the least. Don't know if Bobby would be ok or not... but would he be our best option?.. Would be another leap in the dark for sure.. Ed.. sorry should be oddSSSSSSSSSSS of course.
Think 50£ makes a favourite on these manager markets , be a few rumours and bookys will shorten the odds
Am same .. wouldn't be against it. Id gladly give him the Oakwell keys and his heart would be in 100%.. but first team coach/manager... not so sure
interesting this i saw sir Bobby in costa near KFC with an old professional looking bloke last Thursday. they were deep in conversation and were both looking at a load of paperwork.
I could see him getting a more advanced role in the club but surely not head coach? I’d love to see him as assistant head though. Does he even have all of his badges?
I am not advocating giving the job to Bobby, however , there is one common denominator in any success we have had for the best part of 40 years & that is that every promotion we achieved was achieved with someone promoted from within the club to the managers position , going back to Norman Hunter , Danny Wilson , Andy Ritchie & Paul Heckingbottom . Before them fine gentlemen was Alan Clarke who was a complete rookie , so promoting from within the club has been our most successful route
