It's a double rollover in the Centenary draw! Club News It's a DOUBLE rollover! £3,000 up for grabs next Friday! Continue reading on the official site...
I thought the centenary society was a raffle. Everyone's numbers go into the hat and a winner is drawn. Guaranteed winner every week. That's what a draw is. Are we putting random numbers in, drawing them out and saying nobody won?
Perhaps in the past they only drew active numbers which was why there was always a winner . Recently they could be a low current membership so entering all numbers will create rollovers and hopefully attract new members .
I’ve been in Centenary over 25 years and it’s always been one winner each week. £500 holiday voucher each quarter and £5,000 (it use to be a VW Car) on last home game. If the number pulled wasn’t a paid up member, they pulled another. I’ve not had any correspondence or seen any info as to when and why the formats changed to rollovers. Come to think about it, you ised to get a letter at then end of the season, thanking you for your membership with a note from the manager. As well a list of all the winning names and numbers. Can’t say I’ve had one of them for a few years either. It used to be only 1,500 members allowed and at one point there was a waiting list to join. Duno if that still applies. Always been £2 a week (£8.66 a month).
I joined in the promotion season to ensure I was top category for away tickets and won it twice in the first 2 years. Haven't had a sniff since in nearly 20 years. So thats 1000 draws since I last won and there is a max of 1500 members. About time I won again!
I don't understand why there isn't a winner every week. I'm sure it's a perfect viable reason but it needs to be communicated whatever it is. I'm also not sure how or why someone won a pair of tickets of their choosing.
When they did the draw on the pitch, they drew a series of balls out of a barrel which made up the number. If there are now vacancies and they do the draw the same way, then it is possible for untaken numbers to be drawn. They used to re-draw, but obviously don't now.
