He’ll be in it if he’s good enough.

Needs to be in the 1st team squad ?? How do you reach that conclusion ? Have you seen him play ? Why hasn’t he been anywhere near the matchday squad if he’s any good ?

If he's good enough then he should definitely be in the squad / playing but I've not seen anything of him so I'm not qualified to give an opinion. Those who have seem reasonably confident that he'll be a good player.

it would a boost if he indeed does make the grade, we have signed a few other players to develop it would be nice if two or three came through next season.

Would be nice to produce a striker for a change and save us a few bob . Think he’ll probably be given a chance pre season so i guess it’s up to him to impress.

Think folk are just clutching at straws hoping for victor to be a find . Not seen him so can’t say but two managers haven’t had him anywhere near the first team squad , which would suggest he’s not at the required level !

Watched him a few times when the U23s played at home on Fridays.

It’s so hard to judge anyone in U23s now as they’re as half arsed as friendlies. Mixture of kids, trialists and players returning from injury making up the numbers.

I never saw too much in Victor, but even then he would score one or two, which is always a good sign. Seemed to rely a lot on his physical presence, which I’m not sure he would be so dominant in professional football. Seemed to miss a few sitters as well. Jacob Brown seemed to have a lot more talent when he first broke in, but never scored quite as regularly if I remember.

But I would hope, in League 1, he’ll get a chance at some point then it’s up to him to show he can make it. I wouldn’t have thought Walton was up to championship football but he hasn’t put a foot wrong.

Basically I think it’s far harder now to tell who will or won’t step up from the U23s. But hopefully the new manager can spot talent and whoever’s good enough will get there chance.

To be fair one of those managers didn't think Payne was good enough so got rid then brought in ugbo..... not the best at judging player ability

Correct got to give him a go pre season consistently scored for the u23's if he can't get a look in what's the point in it.

I've also seen a fair bit of him this year in the U23s, and agree that he had his best games when he bullied young defenders. He actually has very little talent from what I can tell and was picked due to the fact we've had very few options as an alternative.

Clearly I'm no football manager, but I'd say he's no where near first team ready yet, regardless of division.

Very little talent, so he scores 18 goals as a striker and still doesn’t deserve a chance. Sends out the wrong message I’m afraid

I don’t agree or disagree, I’ve only seen 8 mins of him in an U23 game. I’m surprised how many people rate him on here, I didn’t think there was that many that went to the U23 games
