Maybe he wants to go to Australia with his family while the offers there. Wages and contract length will also be a factor. He’s been a class act but his time is up. It’s time for others to step up. The young players picked up frOm Lower leagues last summer can only have improved after a year in the championship. Get behind them.
David de gea joined Man Utd and everyone slagged him off and said he wasn’t good enough now look at him.

Maybe he did.... But with how much he loved the club and the area if he was offered the chance to stay i believe he would have. Im behind them mate trust me, but i just cant see the logic of releasing a top player that would help massively in league 1.... We need experienced players like adam hammill in the dressing room and around the club.... Im rapidly losing faith in the people in power at oakwell

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again that the club are where we are at the minute because of the contract situation after we got promoted. Contracts were not renewed which left us in a very difficult place to negotiate with clubs when players wanted to leave. Eg hourihane down to last 6 months and winnal.
The board have done a good job at nice and I believe they will do here. It’s not an overnight project. Things need to change after the last 18 months and I have no doubts they will.
The owner is a highly successful businessman and I can’t see him leaving Barnsley as a failure.

We should be top anything else will be failure. If we have a winger that made the impression Adam did in 2016 then you will be right anything less than promotion and 2 cup wins and you will be wrong.

2 cup wins and a promotion. We won the play offs and Johnstones. I agree he’s been class but he’s declining and it’s time for future. Your living in the past. Might as well get redfearn, ward and Watson on blower if that’s what you want

If you don’t think Hammill would be one of the best players in L1 then it’s hard to have a sensible conversation with you.

It would be you’re living in the past btw. Everyday is a school day,..

Hammill dragged us to both at that level so an improvement would be to do better. To get a better player we are probably talking 500 grand plus and hefty wages. An appraisal of his ability at L1 level not sentiment.

I agree but we can't keep blaming January 2017 for our demise. We've had 2 transfer windows to reverse the slide but basically done nowt. I have zero faith in the new owners.

The new owners have had one transfer window which according to everyone in football is the most difficult (jan)
Would you have preferred us to splash wages and transfer fees on players that can’t get in their teams first eleven to come to us for easy pay day then get relegated and us be stuck with them.
Have faith, you do not become a billionaire by chance. It will come good

I didn't mention the new owners . The fact is that everyone knew we were going to lose our best players in January 2017 so including that transfer window we've actually had three transfer windows to stem the problem. The new owners have had only three big decisions to make and failed on all three .
    January transfer window .
    Head coach .
    Season ticket retention.
I have absolutely no faith that the new owners have any intention to invest positively in our club .
