Crap game, but I'm finding the treatment of injuries on the respective sides of immense interest...…...
A footnote to that 4-3 defeat, Exeter had one player with the surname Hooker and another called Hore.
In today's paper Steve Perryman who is Director of Football at Exeter expresses his doubt that Paul Tisdale will remain in Devon even if the Grecians are promoted at Wembley today. Following Arsene Wengers "abdication", Tisdale is the longest serving manager in all four divisions with a tenure spanning 11 years 335 days. Of Tisdale, Perryman says " despite the difficulties he's faced, finance wise, Paul has remained loyal and he's won four previous semis to get us to Wembley in the past." So certain that Tisdale is moving on, Perryman has decided to bow out himself after a 50 year involvement in the game. Sounds very much as though 'Tis is being lined up elsewhere. Could it be us.?
Interesting to see Frank Lampard and his Dad sitting with the Exeter fans. Look to be discussing the Grecians players. Just a thought, is he being lined up to take over from Tisdale.?
