I don’t care as long as they know what they are doing. My biggest issue is I like to listen to their pressers every week and Jose ruined that for me as I couldn’t make heads or tails what he was saying

As long as we appoint a manager who is successful we can all be happy. Provided they aren’t morally corrupt is my only caveat to that. I’m not a fan of “win at all costs”. Like to have some pride in our club.

I don't want a foreign manager, especially now we're in the third tier. Really hope it doesn't happen....

It wouldn't bother me one iota. Like the vast majority of our fans, I'll judge him on his ability at the job and not his country of origin, or colour of his skin.

It doesn’t matter what country the manager is from if they have a good record and knowledge of League one. Appoint another Morais and it will be a relegation battle.

    I wouldn't mind at all.

Tyrone is dead against it though.

If you get the right person their nationality isn’t relevant.

I don't mind at all, want the best person for the job. Morais wasn't poor because he was foreign.

Don't care where they're from or what league they've been managing in. If they can organise a team and motivate players they'll do.
The trick is separating those who say they can from those who actually can.

Nowt to do with race or colour why I'm against it. Knowledge of what's required at L1 level and identifying the right players to bring in are main criteria for me.
The only type of foreign manager we could attract at our level would likely be another Morais. No thanks...

No issue with me, would be welcomed regardless of nationality. I think prior to Morais, our last (only) foreign appointment would be Gudjon Thordarsson, who for me did an excellent job in the worst circumstances I've known the club be in, and was badly treated by Ridsdale. We've had a few managers who haven't been on this planet mind.......

    Totally agree.
In fact I’m expecting the new manager to be either German, Italian or Portuguese and be fluent in at least 3 languages.

Country of origin is not a serious criteria to consider so I can't imagine any fan would be bothered where they come from so long as they are qualified and deliver results.

I've got to say... i don't understand this fascination with "knowing L1" and it being a prerequisite. What is it they have to know? That teams aren't as good as the championship? That players aren't as good?

I want a manager who plays football, not bore to death crab like possession football, but attacking, dynamic, adventurous football. Creative, inventive and full of winning intent. Even when we lose, even if we're behind.

That intent and trying to connect with what we've most enjoyed down the years is whats more important to me. He could be a first time appointment, he could have managed 9 clubs, he could be from gawber, or from Guatemala. It's what they do that matters, not where they are from.

Neil Warnock is the perfect example. Knows what it takes in the championship and just got a very average Cardiff side automatic promotion. May be a detestable person but high quality manager in the English leagues.

As are David Wagner and Nuno Santo. No English experience apart from a half a season with their respective clubs before transforming them into Premiership bound teams.
