There's some reight players on that list that would suit us on League 1. Our problem is we'll be looking at the youngsters on this list and that's about it. Clayton Donaldson would absolutely destroy this league.
No idea who most of them are. And the ones I do recognise seem to be old and were past their best some time ago. Luke Steele, Jack Hobbs and Wes Hoolahan are the only ones I know anything about who would possibly be worth signing, in my limited opinion. No idea if they are injured etc
Steele is the only one I would seriously consider of that lot. Whats happened with Scott Goldbourne - he was a decent left back once a long time ago but I see Bristol palmed him off to MK Dons last season so his stock has fallen somewhat
Would actually only have Jack Hobbs out of all of them. But again, he’s 29, so too old and we probably couldn’t afford his wages.
Yeah its understandable, id imagine its the type of signing we could have made if we were still a championship club.
1. Luke Steele 2. Wes Hoolahan 3. Scott Golbourne I would take all 3 with open arms. Scott may not be the player he was but surely he can still do a job in L1
See Millwall are hanging on to their two main and very ancient strikers, Gregory and Morrison. We'd have seen them off years ago.
Clayton Donaldson, Luke Steele and Ross Wallace would give us some much needed quality if we could afford them.
I was in a BrewDog bar in Newcastle a few weeks ago. There was jenga on a table, and I started pulling the bricks out. Written on the side of one of them was 'Scott Goldbourne'. I thought that was odd. I turned it over and on the other side was "is ******* ****". Not sure if that tells you everything you need to know.
