Terry Nutkins, I've noticed, always posts with a good blend of fact and humour.
But his opening post has been followed by some sensible, constructive criticism of the club. People saying how they feel, as fans, that their relationship, with their club, is slipping.
This is the kind of thread that needs shoving under the noses of the new owners as it delivers the message 'stop alienating your fans (or in simple business terms - the paying public) and do something positive, because without the fans, who are the life blood of this club, you have nothing'.

Our new owners are that far removed from our club that they won’t know or care, just numbers on a spreadsheet I imagine.

I fell out of love with it all when I realised the end game with the spreadsheet process. Buying young promising players wasn't about developing and generating a good team, instead it was all about generating cash. Selling off our best players or letting contracts run out because we originally got the players on the cheap and now that they've flourished we don't want to pay them the going rate for the division we are in, really told me all I needed to know. I told myself it was to generate a positive effect to drive the sale of the club, but several months on from that and there is nothing coming from the club that suggests anything has changed. I don't know if it's because the owners are spread all over the globe and have a multitude of interests and it feels like we are well down their respective pecking orders, or whether it's because the guy left running the club doesn't have the communication skills of the previous incumbent, but simple blind optimism and loyalty is having a difficult job of cutting it for me at the moment.

Whether this is true or not it's what a lot think about our new owners and until communication improves between the club and fans we are going to feel meh.

Communication doesn't mean that they have to give away big secrets that our competitors gain an advantage from. I find it strange how the PR is handled currently.

Meh is that feeling when someone asks how you feel and you just shrug your shoulders like you couldn’t be ****** whatever happens.

    Good God.

Another assumption based on **** all but if it criticises the new owners then it's acceptable.

I agree with lots of the sentiments on here. It began for me with Hecky walking out, which deflated me so much in that it was another example of the club losing the local touch in a short space of time but also a warning beacon that loyalty in football is never what us fans think and expect. It's just business for most people involved in it. It hurt and Morais did nothing to motivate me into an excitement for our relegation battle. The bloke seemed like he made it up as he went along.

Then it's been the club's handling of the fans with season ticket renewals and relegation which has been more danaging. To have contributed a good proportion of my wage to watch that cack last year I should be thanked and rewarded. But instead I recieved no letter telling me anything and found out via the internet that I either had to renew before we knew the outcome of the season with about 2 weeks notice or be effectively fined £80 to keep my seat. Then relegation AFTER the deadline and nothing. No apologies. No "Sorry as we're relegated we're not going to make you pay 25% more for an inferior product, come and watch us win League One". Nothing. I don't actually feel welcome at Oakwell. I just feel that my payslip is.

I'm sure I'll still get to some games next year and hopefully it's with a manager or coach or whatever who can galvanise players and fans. But what's happened in the last 6 months won't be forgotten.

If you would have seen me play cricket last week mate after 2 years you’d think I was a 20 something, unfortunately for the next 5 days I’ve been a broken old man, so maybe you are right.

All it will take is winning football matches , I really don't get this attitude that the change of ownership has altered the nature of the club . A fifth of the club and 50% stake of the ground and assets are still owned by the Cryne family, GG is Crynes appointment , the other owners live abroad and will be preoccupied with other business interests.......Patrick lived in Portugal for a couple of seasons and left the club in other peoples hands whilst he was preoccupied with other 'business' related matters for years ....What's actually changed ? . In defence of GG and the lack of communication about the new manager , he acted quickly in getting rid of Morais but his next appointment is the one that could get him sacked if it doesn't work out straight away . We'll find out in the next few weeks who he's gone for , it might be a case that his first choice has chosen another club or like a lot of fans, he's looked at the domestic managers on offer and not been impressed so is looking elsewhere . Anyway World Cup in two weeks so BBS will be full of 'I don't give a **** about England ' and '****** Southgate ' posts .....can't wait UREDS

I'm sorry that you're feeling so disconnected with our club, old mate, compounding your employment issues (by the way, I hope that can be sorted out very quickly). You and your Father are held in the highest esteem and respect by myself. Also, you don't need me to tell you you're one of my family & I's favourite ever posters on here, so I won't bother!:D
From a personal point of view, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms already and can't wait for the new season to start. This probably is a clear indication I've lost my marbles!:D

Apart from the fact it won’t be GG’s choice . The owners and board will decide who to appoint . GG is there to do as the owners wish .

Aye it’s been how long since we heard from them takeover time? Handed out some free scarfs at an away game and put on some free coaches to a rearranged fixture.
