It could be Mick. All the jobs he was linked with have gone,WBA,Derby,Stoke,Sunderland.Still a slight chance with Leeds but I think he knows the score there.I think the owners know more about BFC than some would think and although not every ones choice the feeling of the club coming "home" would please and excite fans more than disappoint.
Maybe convincing Mick Mc.to take the challenge is proving hard but with the promise of funds and financial incentives my gut feeling might not be too far off. Thoughts please.

With a lot more hope than expectation, I have been having similar thoughts myself. I still don’t think it will happen but like you say he doesn’t seem to be getting considered for any of the Championship jobs that have been coming up.

My money would be on a foreign off the radar appointment.

As much as I'd like to happen I just can't see it. Just seen Hannes Wolf is 12/1 this morning. That's an interesting one.

As much as id wish you are right, i would be amazed if he took the job regardless of the incentives. More chance of Heckingbottom returning in my opinion.

Anyone wanting a British manager will be disappointed.

If we were appointing a lower league young manager, McCann , ainsworth etc it would be done now, there has to be something brewing.

Chronicle seemed to think it was because we were holding out for Hurst, though?

I think it'll be a Brit but unsure as to whom. Probably someone who will vastly divide this board such as Grayson.

The lack of an announcement thus far could mean 2 things:

1: They don't know what they're doing, they are procrastinating and we'll end up with someone who nobody else wants, or
2: They do know what they're doing and they are set for a high profile appointment

I can't make my mind up

It’s ridiculously easy to manipulate the betting market in this particular field. I honestly wouldn’t read anything into it. As stated above it only takes a very small stake to turn the odds.

He isn’t being considered for other Championship jobs - is because no one wants him.
    He’s had his day.
We need a younger hungrier manager that will attract players (foreign players?) to the club.
As much as I like Mick ...... it’s not him we need.
