    No he wasn't great that game which was 12 years ago! Also the fact he's had more clubs than Rory McCilroy which is never a good sign

    Not in the last 10 years he hasn't. In the last 10 years he's played two season in League 1. The rest in League 2. The last season in League 1 being 5 years ago. The one before that being 10 years ago. He's now 36.

    His record in League 1 is as follows:
    2004-05 37 games 14 goals
    2005-06 34 games 9 goals
    2006-07 25 games 5 goals
    2007-08 22 games 7 goals
    2008-09 33 games 13 goals
    2013-14 34 games 10 goals
    Total: 185 games 58 goals. About a goal every 3 games.

    And this is him with 0% fat.

    a player with a vast vast amount of experience in this league and another league very similar.

    Would rather a player you could rely on then a Brad Potts with 'sell on value'

    BUT HE HASN'T GOT A VAST AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE IN THIS LEAGUE - that's the point. You can't rely on him in this league because no one else has taken a chance. Can I rely on Potts in this league - definitely!

    He's 36 / 37 and hasn't played at our level for ten years. His best days are a long time behind him and he's not known for his mobility, probably due to his size and mass. Yeah he'd be a sensational signing.

    Why?

    He's played three full seasons in League 1, got relegated in two of them and finished just outside the bottom 4 in the other. 109 appearances and 6 goals.

    Akinfenwa is rubbish and old, but that doesn't mean Potts is any good. Maybe he'll turn out to be, I dunno, but the fat guy who we're all ridiculing in this thread has a better League 1 record than Potts, in every stat you could care to mention, other than Potts is younger.

    Because he was becoming stronger last season and improved so in this league I'd say he would be ideal. I never once mentioned weight I was going on the fact that in ten years he's had 1 year at this level
