It all depends doesn’t it? There’s clearly little room for flair or spontaneity in his side, they were a well drilled machine of big athletic footballers. It wasn’t my cup of tea watching Barnsley play them, but it got them promoted, who wouldn’t want that? He’s not going to change though, you’re never going to think “can’t wait to see Huddersfield play” while he’s manager.

winning is more important than people pleasing it is as simple as that. Besides I thought they were probably the best side we played at Oakwell that season and they battered us first half at the John Smiths.

Inertia means acceleration so it would fit in the context in which it was used . Don’t try to be too smart

I thought Huddersfield, Fulham and Reading were the best teams at Oakwell that season. All played better than Newcastle and Brighton.who both went straight up. Huddersfield were stronger, better-organised and fitter than Fulham and Reading who lacked the edge that Huddersfield had to get them over the line. Look at Cardiff last season. Even Burton played better football than them at Oakwell but who got promoted and who got relegated? The game's so much about organisation, strength and fitness now that these things count most these days.

Almost. Inertia is the force that causes something moving to tend to continue moving and that causes something not moving to continue not to move.

But as a noun it does mean inactive / to do nothing.

exactly like you say I'd be thrilled if we had Neil Warnock grinding us 1-0 after 1-0. The Terriers have played some cracking football under Wagner.

Heaven forbid the spreadsheet should get any credit!
In all honesty I reckon you could allocate a third of the credit to each with an honourable mention to Tommy Wright. Though honourable might be the wrong choice of word in his case.

Well it didn’t look great to me - heavy handed pressing without the ball then quick counter attacking isn’t great to watch, I don’t care what it gets you result wise, Huddersfield were drilled to death, everyone was a cog in a machine who had a position to be in with or without the ball at any given moment. A very impressive expression of human organisation and drilling but if you think it was good to watch then you’re dead inside.

So what? Huddersfield got the points to win and then maintain their Premier League status for at least 2 years. That's all that matters.

Personally I think they played some nice stuff I remember plenty of creativity from the likes of Mooy, Van La Parra & Izzy Brown but as I say football is about winning and the style of football is simply the method of trying to do so.

Inertia is the wrong word to use in this context. Momentum is the word you are looking for.

Opposite it is the objects resistance to acceleration. High inertia low acceleration, essentially mass. So do you reckon he plays hoof ball then?
