    Exactly that.

Anyone coming in (within reason) would have my backing as I am a supporter. Don’t get why there needs to be so much negativity.

As far as I know, they were expected to be challengers for promotion and they were whilst he was in charge. The win ratio backs this up.

I do accept the premise of what you’re saying though, win ratios can be a bit misleading.

I’ve just said. A manager should be judged on his budget & where his team is expected to finish.

It’s a result driven business in the sense that managers need results to get to where their club should be finishing.

Like Huddersfield this season, they needed a couple of points to stay up & they got them so Wagner more than did his job.

Results driven business means the manager is getting the results his team should be getting rather than winning every week & having a sky high win percentage.

For me when I look at league one next season there’s not many big clubs with spending power apart from Sunderland & we’ve got a young squad that should improve so in terms of result I’d be disappointed if we finish outside the top 6. But even if we finish 7th whoevers in charge will end up having a far greater win percentage than any manager we’ve had in as long as I can remember but it doesn’t mean he’ll have done a good job

That’s fair enough then, so he’s probably not overachieving or underachieving so just doing ok but it’s hard to tell just off stats

I hope he sorts out the messy squad and enhances it with the qualities we need to push for automatic.
Interstellar to hear who will be back room staff
I would like Dazzy B back at club in some capacity if there is a suitable slot
Maybe another good ex red too along with a couple of his own fitness etc.
Boy do we need a good fitness coach!

Except Aston villa have a experienced manager spent millions on millions one of the biggest clubs in the country and are still in the championship. No matter who you appoint and how much you spend success is not guaranteed. Give the bloke a chance.

According to wiki, he was sacked on 20 March 2017. They had just one win (but only one defeat) in their previous 4 League games.

Seems a bit harsh to me!
