Gauthier Ganaye Updates Supporters Club News Gauthier Ganaye has issued a statement and message to supporters after the Club appointed Daniel Stendel as Head Coach at the beginning of June. Continue reading on the official site...
Too little too late Only done that in response to the bbs/social media Not told us anything new They approached him so their necks are really on the line now which just underlines my dislike and distrust of them because they aren't from the right postcode So they talked to other managers as well - he's our 3rd/4th/5th/umpteenth choice - what put the others off ? They must share the same distrust of these incomers as me and so on and so forth ad infinitum
Interesting that we approached Stendel rather than the other way round. I think his appointment makes sense. Identifying a coach that plays a style of football that’s entertaining, given thats what the fans want to see. And a coach that brings youth through, which makes sense given the success we’ve had with academy players in recent seasons.
I thought the same. For the size of the article he didn't say much new that wasn't said when Stendel was appointed. Like with Morais we've approached someone who didn't apply. I prefer someone wanting to be our head coach that much that they come to us, not the other way around.
There's a whiff of ******** about some of this. Which great football brain at the club decided they wanted to play "counter-pressing and high-intensity attacking" football?
I thought it read well. Gave a clear rationale for the radio silence. And for the silence to come re transfers. I'd rather judge the board etc. after a few months of results than now. If they get what they need to get done, done... who cares?
Criticised for not saying enough. Then when they take on board feedback and then update fans they get criticised again??? You couldn’t make it up. Oh dear. Extremely Northern or Extremely Racist? You’d expect them to talk to other managers, and do their due diligence. It’s just as likely we turned them down. That wouldn’t fit your agenda though would it?
I don't particularly care if they approached us or we approached them. I'd just lime to hear what the ******* plan is. Have we abandoned this god awful restrictive policy of buying players with future resale value being the primary factor? Are we going to sign players to build a SQUAD? It's a question we all want to know the answer to but everyone at he club is refusing to even acknowledge
I think it's fair enough that really - keeps people up to date, gets his message out again. Be interesting how Stendel comes across in his press conference. I do find it really odd though that we've headhunted him rather than he applied, we did some checks & then liked him.
Well I don't just want to know why we selected a specific manager, I want to know whether we are persisting with this plan which saw us turn a chance of promotion to the premiership into a relegation to league one. I also do not understand the logic in delaying informing fans of our ore season fixtures. They were already set so what benefit have the fans gained from having access to the information withdrawn?
He's brave making such an ironic/sarcastic post, considering the most simple of comments seem to 'whoosh' over some people's heads on here.
Bradshaw likely to be one at least? Perhaps Moore? I don't think it'd be end of the world if we lost any player if i'm honest. They're all replaceable.
