    Met him beginning of last year in Bulgaria, I hadn`t realised that he had moved over there until then. He filmed a TV show for Bulgarian tele called (I think) The English neighbour. Really well liked over there.

    I suppose 71 isn't that old. He certainly had an interesting life, both on & off screen.

    About only time I watched a soap opera was at that time in his first incarnation in East Enders. He did play the part bloody well.

    I watched that, and Emmerdale and Corrie at that time. None of them now.
