    I've never seen not only a referee but a refereeing team of 10 people lose all control of a football game like this before. I can only imagine that Willand, Kettle and Rennie are in charge of the videos

    Once he's given the foul though doesn't it have to be a red? Similarly when he gave the handball for the penalty doesn't he have to book him?

    How has the ref on the field deemed that a penalty though? I actually cannot believe what we’ve seen in a world cup match.

    I dont think VAR is the problem, it's the way they are using it. Hopefully this will get sorted.

    It was a perfectly good goal though gordon, assuming we're talking about their second. He was clearly onside.
    VAR is fine, It's the use of it that needs to be got right.

    We complain about the standard of refs in the football league but some of these refs from other continents are bloody terrible.

    Yes, to disallow it then wait a few mins and change your decision. Players must celebrate a goal and then have to wait until they've kicked off to realise its been given. We don't need it, the only technology we needed was the goal line stuff, its quick and effective. VAR has taken it too far.
