Was out with some Millers friends last night and they reckon the deal for them to sign Bradshaw is almost signed and sealed. Anyone else heard this?
I haven't heard anything but would hope doesn't want to go, I think he will be a decent asset for us this coming season. He will be back in League one 12 months from now if he goes to Rotherham.
Taken from the Rotherham forum, they've supposedly put in a 250k bid. http://boards.footymad.net/showthread.php?t=38222959
I think further down that thread someone said it was reported in the Sheffield Star. I can imagine it's true, their chairman Tony Stewart will be promising their fans everything and will deliver nothing like last time they were in the championship. Can't see them paying more than 500k for a single player.
Don't know what Rotherham's record fee is.. but am sure theydt have to beat it and some, to get him... I think Bradders will go before the end of the summer... last year of contract n'that but not to Rotherham..
I agree, I think its nailed on Bradshaw will go. He's got a decent haul in the Championship despite playing in a very poor side for 18 months (post January dismantling), he's a good age and just got into the Wales setup so will want to try and progress. He works hard and I doubt he'll want to stay til his contract is up in a years time. As long as we get a good fee to reinvest, I'll wish him well. Can see similar with Moncur, and i'd be very surprised to see Moore still here as well. If we're playing high press football, i'll be interested to see if our new coach thinks there is something to work with regarding Thiam, Hedges, Mallan, McGeehan, Potts, Fryers, Mowatt and Pinnilos
Clueless as per usual. Laud Akinfenwa and say Bradshaw was out of his depth. Were you dressed in lime green for Portugal vs Iran?
So you're seriously suggesting that Bradshaw was in his depth? When he lost every header, struggled to hold up the ball, didn't have enough pace to stretch the defences. Plainly obvious why he was dropped the last seven games and if we'd stayed up it would be hilarious if we could make money on him but I think for what he's done in a Walsall shirt it'd be worth keeping him for League 1.
Bradshaw can’t pass or control a ball. No physical presence. No pace. Decent finisher, good engine. I would say league one is his level, certainly not a frontline championship striker.
