I do not know if there is any credence in it ,but on one of the Luton message boards they seem pretty confident that Alex Mowatt will be shortly signing for them . I know there will be some fans who would be pleased if this is true but if it does happen , then there is a pattern emerging , one I do not particularly like , however , it is silly season on the rumour front , so watch this space .
What's the worrying pattern exactly, if indeed the rumour is true. We are possibly losing a player who could not command a place at Oxford last season!
How can we properly judge Alex Mowatt like that, when we signed him during that time (under Heckyar*se) when we couldnt win a game to save our lives. Can we really blame that on him more than anybody else ?.
I did wonder how long it would take for Thiam to be called fat again. 2 days into preseason is the answer I guess.
Have a look on the photos. One of them he looks in fine shape for our star striker. Zero chance of that gut fulfilling a high press in the next 6 months.
I’ve only seen the pictures tweeted, and didn’t notice anything on them. Whilst I don’t agree he’s fat, I do agree that his fitness levels (last season anyway) are not up to it. He will have a tough preseason that’s for sure.
Tried loading the group photo where they’re in a circle but it was too big for the server when zoomed in. Atrocious gut thats not changed in 12 months.
I'm not worried about selling players not good enough for us, for a profit and future sell on, but each to their own.
People continue to mix up fat & muscle on here. Both are no good when there’s too much of it. Thiam & Potts are both too muscular in my opinion
Actually looks like he's got an anterior pelvic tilt problem which makes him look like he's got a beer belly. No doubt club know all the players % body fat, 40 quid weighing scales will tell you that.
Does that also explain why he can only last 15 minutes on a football pitch? No chance of a high press from him, cut the losses and take anything we can get.
