I'm not going over the whole argument about offering him a contract again. I'm sure if we'd offered him 25k plus in the summer he might have considered it...and then gone to Villa who had a much greater chance of Premier League football and therefore untold wealth than we did.
You know absolutely the same as the rest of us about what contracts were offered and what informal talks about contracts were had. Next to nothing. Quit posing your ramblings as fact.
So, written off before he starts then. I think 1 promotion from 2 Bundesliga trumps 4 from league 1 (yes they would have still been promoted had he stayed in the job)
If he was under a 2-3 year contract with us he would not have had the power to walk out. Would have been up to us to sell and Conor isn't the sort to throw his toys out of the pram and not turn up for training either. When a player has 6 months left that's when clubs get hold to ransom because they are scared to not recoup any transfer fee.
For a League 1 post? And anyway what nonsense even if the standard of the league is a bit higher it doesn't mean the job was harder
I do not watch German football rather watch Allsvenskan. Stendel has no 2 Bundesliga promotion anyway. Regardless winning the La Liga with Real Madrid is easier than getting Stockport promoted. Standard of football does not dictate how good a manager is. Besides you would rather not have a manager who has won four league 1 promotions in League 1? That makes so much sense....
Thought you wanted a club with ambition to better itself ? That means sometimes thinking outside the box and trying something/someone new. He was still at the club when they got promoted and they would have been anyway if he had stayed in his role.
Grayson, who was sacked by Leeds, Huddersfield, Sunderland and Bradford City after failing at those clubs? The same one who has six wins in his last 32 games as manager - the last 14 of those at League 1 level with one of the bigger clubs in the division?
Wrong. I don't. I just don't keep banging on about it. What's the point? Have you changed anything by repeatedly bringing it up?
Why would you offer more money and longer contracts to players when they are unproven at championship level?
What a bizarre thing to say about people just because they don't want to look at life from your gloomy perspective.
