Not really - football was no better than under Koeman. Again you're not watching it - these are fans opinions and fans with 40 years experience who know what they want at their club
It's like arguing if Tomato is pronounced To-may-to or tu-mar-toe. It is the same thing whichever way you slice it.
If you go from laughing stock to top 8 clearly the manager has done something right. Can have 90 years experience doesn't mean their right
Again you are not paying to watch it - they were coming away bored silly! As customers they have a right to an opinion - wasn't just one it was majority of crowd.
They could be in the championship now if it weren't for the man they chased out of the club. Should be ashamed.
Ok ...... you obviously are the font of all wisdom when it comes to football! We'll leave it at that ...
It would also be hard to sack someone whose contract had expired....as it was due to do at the end of the season. Like I said, not sacked then.
I wouldn't say that differentiating between letting a contract run down and a sacking is splitting hairs. The latter would look far worse on his CV.
I wasn't going to wade into this one but I will after reading all 18 pages, a lot of which is madness. Let's debunk a few myths: 1. Grayson has 4 league one promotions. Yep. Fact. It's in the record books. The last one being 4 years ago and has had two catastrophic failures since. Other men with multiple football league promotions are Dave Bassett and Jim Smith (both 7) yet there is no clamour for either of those chaps. Let's remember that 4 years ago Mohammed Salah was nowhere near the Chelsea first team and Germany slapped Brazil 7-1. 2. 'He is a well known character and certainly respected in the footballing world by most with good knowledge'. Incorrect otherwise he'd be far higher up the football pyramid than looking for a league one side. There are plenty out there with more football knowledge than all of us put together who won't touch him with a barge pole because.... 3. He's a footballing relic. A dinosaur. Entrenched in getting players fit by piggyback races and running up sand dunes in the summer. 4. The 'football' his side's produce is akin to that of Colombia last night. Fouling, time wasting, antagonistic rubbish that would turn the casual punters off completely. It's all well and good saying 'it's all about the results' but it isn't is it. People spend their hard earned money to be entertained. Not to have a team full of meatheads kicking the living **** out of people and rolling around on the floor when they get it back. 5. I don't know if stendel will be 'The man' but I do know that in his previous foray into management he has a better win ratio at a higher level than Grayson does at any given time. That's all i can be bothered to write. I don't suppose any of those points matter anyway. We've got who we've got and I'll be damned if I write the guy off before a ball is kicked in anger.
1. You can't blame him for sunderland everyone knows that. Bradford was there 2 minutes. So achievements are wiped out after a few years ok then. 2. The man is very well respected and doesn't have a club because he has chosen not to take up any of the offers he has had this summer 3. In other words a cunning experienced manager with bags of success. 4. Style is irrelevant as we've established
Will make a special reply just for this. To be kind I will call it laughable rather than lame & pathetic. Flitcroft had a better win ratio than any other Barnsley manager ever after a few months. Grayson has had at least a decade. Stendel's not had a season. You cannot compare.
