As well as been a cheat on the pitch he’s also a performance enhancing drugs cheat so he’s well qualified to speak about cheating. Expert at it

Hello mate I know you're a very proud Scot and is like to ask you a question
Where do you see the Scots as an international side going from here?
I'm of an age where I've been lucky enough to have seen some fantastic Scottish players and I've seen Scotland teams not only compete but play some great football, why do you think there is such a dearth of Scottish talent?

Hi pal. Well we might be of similar ages. I'm 62 next month so like you I have witnessed some good Scotland performances and many heartbreaks. Scotland are going no where mate. Maybe even get worse. TBH ive lost all interest in them as its like flogging a dead horse. In my opinion we are suffering because of your premiership and all the money there. Used to be we had players play for man u, Leeds, spurs, arsenal etc all playing at the top. Now we are lucky if we can find a player who pays for Grimsby with a Scots granny. Also celtic are hoovering up all available money in our game and utterly shafting all clubs. Promotion to your championship is their aim.
So standards drop all round. All very sad. Just look at your own game and how the prem ubs just seem to get richer and more powerful. Really difficult for Barnsley type clubs to ever compete which takes fair competition away. The gulf just gets bigger by the day.

I hear you mate I really do and I too remember the top sides in England having the cream of Scottish talent covering all areas of the pitch (except goalie) lol.
And I agree the premiership has not only had an ill effect on Scotland's fortunes but football in general from the grassroots up.
I know there is healthy banter between us but I for one would welcome a sustained period of successful Scottish players and the Scotland international team.
I miss the Home Internationals those were not for the faint hearted imagine Neymar type in a full blooded Scotland v England at Hampden.
Anyway got to go I'm combing my Bobby Charlton wig for tomorrow
It's on telly mate try and catch it.
Edit: The match not my wig.

Gascoigne was a piss head, but not a cheating self righteous ****. The only comparable is that they both had brilliant skills...

You're bang right, and in actual fact, Beasant was FOURTH choice after original 3rd choice, Seaman went home injured, and we were allowed to draft him in as a late replacement.

Now, here's where I have a bit of an axe to grind with Beasant. As we made the semi's, in 1990, our players were all presented with a medal, including Beasant, there with his frizzy perm, medal round neck, doing Mexican waves with the rest of the team, even had his goalie gloves on, not that they ever went near a ball...

Anyway, fast forward to our Euro (I think) qualifier when we were drawn in the same group as Northern Ireland, where Beasant was part of their coaching staff. They beat us (David Nugent I think) and at the end of the game, patriotic Englishman, Beasant, was celebrating like a lunatic as if they'd won the world cup!!!

And folk call Heckingbottom a turncoat!!

Maradona disgraced fifa and the world cup in 1994. He was sent home in disgrace and has continued to be a disgrace to the game since.
A decision should have been made by fifa not to show any close ups of him or glorify him at this world Cup. He should have been given no exposure

All that aside, the most gifted person to ever play the game. Transcended genius.
