It's only the league season that matters to me, I don't use preseason friendly results as a barometer for an upcoming campaign. We were totally indifferent (at best!) the Summer before the 1996/97 season. Yet we won all our friendlies just after we appointed Keith Hill and then just managed to avoid relegation.
Donks, I reckon if we'd pushed Yiadom and Cavare into midfield last back end we'd still be in the Championship. There again, we might still have had Morais!
Don’t worry about where players are playing at this stage, all about building fitness & letting everyone have a kick about. Hopefully the last couple of friendlies we’ll be able to field balanced sides with a few new players & probably a couple of departures
