No woman will be anywhere near HOF ready anytime soon. But it would be nice to raise cash for a cancer charity through a pink strip for the players to play in. Plenty of clubs have done that but we've always overlooked it. We could even try what Everton have done... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44893514?
If women are to be included you have to have two categories - the most influential men and the most influential women. (If not the women wont get a look in.) I think BFC Women's Team is an important part of the club and therefore should be represented in the Hall of Fame by the inclusion of the woman/women who have been most influential. This should not be done by comparison with men at the club.
There are a lot of important parts of the club but in the case of the hall of fame the only candidates, by definition, are male. This would be the case at nearly every club in the country. The ladies could have their own hall of fame but what purpose would it serve? Nobody has heard of them or knows anything about them. The men's game has been engrained in the community for generations. There is absolutely no comparison between the two at the minute.
We have no famous women at Barnsley- other than TinaTyke of course. So that’s that. End of. Women FFS !!! I blame weak men - they just shouldn’t let them out. Cant these men find them some baking to do ??? Some daft fooker will be advocating putting ******* players in the Hall of Fame next !?!?!
