I’ve just read the last few posts of each of the top five or six threads on here at present in the voice of the Harry Enfield character ‘Kevin’.

    It amused me.

I guess it all comes down to pace being critical. Just like in footy. Whichever one of the three can catch you first wins, eh?

I thought I may have a stroll along, just to see how ***** the manager/players really are or if by some strange quirk of fate the people who are pre judging a totally unknown quantity may have got it a tad wrong hehehe, apart from that I could murder a pie

Gally, maybe create 2 sections.. One for footy only talk (even negative posts, there has to be some balance lol), and the other for any non footy posts.

That way, people who just want to discuss BFC can just view the footy only threads easily..

Would be my suggestion anyway if it were to change..

Bit harsh!! What have I done to rattle your cage recently:(. I have reined in starting/contributing to most of the political stuff a lot especially the endless Brexit posts

The ignore function on here is great. It even removes it when other users quote the person you've blocked. Even with prolific gobshites, you don't notice them at all. I'd really recommend ordinary users block the disruptive element en masse, deprive them of their audience .

I just don't think I've ever seen you post anything to do with Barnsley FC...

Maybe a tad harsh, you were the one in that list I wanted gone the least, for what it's worth.

Might be worth trialing. Must admit I thought about dumping the political / RedKestrel posts into their own forum. I've always liked having a mixture of posts but also getting sick of something of the crap being posted. Especially those people who only post for example political posts

I know it's your site and you can do what you want but can I please ask that it doesn't happen. The mix of football and non football posts is what sets this forum apart from others.

Agreed. No need for different sections. You know from a topic title what you're going to see when you click on it.

I would vote for keeping it as a single site discussion forum. It doesn't take too long to spot the obnoxious, the constantly negative or the overly political posts so it's easy to stop reading and, if necessary, put the poster on the ignore list. I'm sure we all have a list like that - mine isn't all that long, but it makes this place a pleasanter place to be when I don't have to read things I don't want to read.

I actually agree, it's better as a single forum.. Just offering an alternative :)

People have different opinions. I'm willing to listen to most of them.

There have been a few people on here that never post about the team, but spout right wing bullsh!t.

I guess you will always get that.

You will always get on with people better when you meet face to face. I'd truly like to meet all the folks who post on here regularly.
We are a lot more than our political views, football views, musical preferences, etc & the site for me is richer for all those things.

Not sure if it is possible, but would it be able to flag posts as off-topic so that anyone that isn't interested doesn't get to see them - kind of an "Ignore" function for threads instead of posters?

Well that idea in itself is just down to opinion isn't it, which is what these boards are all about. I obviously disagree with what your saying about TM however.
We have also discussed the idea of off topic boards before though, for all the boring political drivel etc.
