I hope nobody was going last night to make a decision about a season ticket

Because off the field the club looked amateurish last night.

Still putting the nets up after we kicked off, tvs all turned off, no programmes available inside the ground, scoreboard broken after 15 minutes, no ball boys to be seen (apart from a group presumably playing fortnite in an empty stand), pa system that sounded like it was being operated from under water.

I think last nights game crept up on the club as it seemed to have caught them all by surprise.

Im starting to think the running of the football club full stop has crept up on this lot. Mark Robins years ago said to a colleague of mine when he left that non league clubs were run better than us and its got worse. Its all half arsed

Safe to say after this move pretty much every aspect of the team/club has been ripped apart recently. God I love this site

What was once a nice draught carling cider has been replaced by a fruity cider. No thanks.
To say it was warm very few people were using the bar.

Run on a shoestring budget, you would think the new owners would have bill boards up all over town, be mailing every home business & school in a 20 mile radius, have the ground and facilities fit for purpose to cover the lack of tlc over the last 20 years & have the place buzzing, apart from the ponty painting anyone see any changes!?

Amusing 30 seconds after their third when the scoreboard decided that their goals would count double. They were 4-2 up until somebody noticed and chalked one off.

I thought the PA was pretty rubbish last night with only half hearted attempts to announce player substitutions and no acknowledgement at all about the WBA goalscorers.

One thing that annoys me is that you can’t see the touch line anymore. It looks like they have reduced the width of the pitch and shoved the advertising hoardings up to the edge. Is it an attempt to stop long throwins ? Us in ESL can’t help the ref anymore if the ball went out or not.

Sounds like Barnsley at it's best. The most Barnsley FC thing ever is finding billionaire owners who don't want to spend money.

I go to watch the match, not to look at advertising boards, drink cider etc. The peripheral attractions are not for me.

This is me too. For a typical Saturday game I turn at 2.50pm use the loo and go to my seat. Depending on number of pre game pints I use the loo again at half time. Watch 2nd half and leave.

Me too. But I think looking professional and having decent facilities for those who'd like to use them isn't a bad thing.

I’m the same I go for the football not for anything else, I’m not paying over the odds for crap warm beer, don’t buy programs, wouldn’t put a bet on in ground even if they had bookies or buy any food in there, if people want extras then that’s all good but as long as the match is on then I’m hapoy

Kieffer Moore's goal should be enough for any football fan to want a season ticket to be fair. A real thing of beauty, a move that starts with the keeper. Could watch it all day long. If the football is of that quality, I doubt the rest of the match day experience will matter.

Surely the point is that you might buy the beer and food if it wasn't so poor and priced "over the odds".

We were ok for 45 mins then I couldn't see owt from then on. Very logical to play a midweek evening kick off, wearing black with no floodlights. To be fair they did turn them on at 10 past 9 and they were fully warmed up by the 85th minute of the game.
