6.00 HUMBOLT CURRENT A lady riders' race, but Georgia Cox is a very proficient pilot. The horse has won the last twice and is up 6 lbs, but William Haggas is on a very impressive 14/38 strike rate (37%) in the last 14 days.
6.30 Twenty runner sprint handicap where the runners are closely matched and I have no idea what will win!
7.00 PERSIAN MOON won by 5 lengths at Yarmouth last time out for Mark Johnston, who sent out the winner of this in 2015.
7.30 DESERT DIAMOND A course and distance winner, and 2nd in a Listed race last time out. Should have a fitness edge over her main market rival.
8.00 LA RAV You have to take her fitness on trust, after 336 days off. But she looks less exposed than her rivals here and may oblige under the usual trademark waiting ride from Jamie Spencer.
8.30 LAITH ALAREEN Has won his last three, and is up a further 8 lbs here. He was claimer-ridden the last four times and good northern jockey Tony Hamilton takes over here. May just be able to defy the rise, with Eeh Bah Gum having risen a total of 29 lbs since his prolific winning run began (beaten 4 lengths at Haydock last time out).

But the main tip is: Enjoy Sir Tom!:) The man is a legend!

    OH NO!

Big news of the night: SIR TOM A NON-RUNNER DUE TO THUNDER!

Going by Twitter, much annoyance among the punters, who will get only a 50% refund! Apparently, this was not announced on course until after the last race! Feel very sorry for the punters, many of whom will only have been there for Sir Tom.

Big big shout for ELARQAM (3.15) Gordon. 7/4 with layers tonight. Son of Frankel, and any softening of the ground shouldn't inconvenience him too much. Comfortably my nap tomorrow.
