    When we compare ourselves to those shithouses you have to remember..
    One barnsley fan is the equivilent to 5 of them.

    Lets be right.

    We are better looking. More intellegent. Less inbred. Better at ******* feighting and grafting to name just a few things.

    I thought Thurnscoe and Goldthorpe had been part of Barnsley MBC since 1974.

    If you take the council areas the population of Sheffield is about 600,000. Barnsley's is 230,000. Given that we lose a lot to the Sheffield clubs and Leeds (I know a lot of people in Wombwell who have season tickets at Hillsborough or Bramall Lane) I'd say our attendances per head of the local population are about half Sheffield's. We get about 10,000 to their 20,000 each. These figures are rough but they both get twice what we get from a population more than twice ours. As there's two of them they must be getting twice what we get per head of population.

    I don’t know when thurnscoe etc came into bmbc but you can’t change just like that . Their allegiances to mainly Weds came out of being the most succesful club in This part of Yorkshire as far as top divisions go and dads take sons and so it goes . Try comparing towns our size hemmed in with surrounding once very succesful city teams and if you don’t think we’re pretty well supported notwithstanding the limes of thurnsoe who are not IMo allegianced football wise we do very well indeed.as most will acknowledge

    Not so much because these guys have the financial capability to take a short term risk/loss for potential long term gain - that was less so with the last regime.

    I never said there weren’t any but i worked in the area and socialised with a lot of people from that area Goldthorpe, Bolton etc and I can assure you there were many more Wendies
