My top 5 in no particular order. Kenneth Dougall. Aryan de Zeeuw . Brian McCord. Luke Steele. Daniel Nardiello. Not trying to be controversial, just watching Ken today made me think of debuts I've seen.I think there have been lots of other good ones I seem to remember Andy Rammells being good as well.
Craig Hignett v hudds town when we won 7-1 missed penalty for his hat trick Special mention for Luke Steele's debut superb performance
Biggins home debut was a bit special. Was it Derek Bell's debut when he crsshed a twenty yarder into the roof of the net against Wimnledon? They wouldn't make top five but they do stick in my head.
He got sent off in a 4-1 defeat at Derby, possibly the 5th or 6th game he played. Also scored an own goal I think in his second game away at Grimsby.
Off the cuff from personal experience ..... Ally Millar for me . + Peter Markstedt . Danny Nardiello . HeInz Muller .
True - he was incredible that day. Bit of a forgotten one but I remember Calvin Plummer having a cracking start
Yeah I liked Plummer. Played with a smile. I can remember him running what seemed the length of the pitch at Boro, drawing the keeper and hitting it wide in an otherwise uneventful 0-0 draw.
Boxing Day 1968. We'd just signed Eddie Loyden from Shrewsbury Town and he made his debut that day. We won 1-0 and Loyden scored the winner from the penalty spot. Against Shrewsbury Town.
