One of the pleasing things about today's game for me, was the way that every one
of our players fought for the ball and tried to deny Hull any space. They were also
supporting each other to get the ball back when we lost it. If we've had done more
of that last season perhaps we could have stayed up. From what I saw today, I'm very
    optimistic for the new season.

If we wait until January and he’s done well we’re in the same boat as usual. They can pick their club next year on bigger wages.

It’s always a gamble - right now it’s a bit of a gamble for both us and him, but if the manager likes what he’s seen this month and want Mowatt we should look to extend his contract before the season starts. Add another year on.

Tough one to call. I just don’t like the thought of losing another player for nowt.

I thought we'd made a cracking signing with Alex at first, and his time with us so far has proved to be disappointing hasn't it, to say the least!.
But Im delighted that Stendel has given all of our players a clean sheet to work from this summer, and its great to see that his style of footy seems to fit in well with how Alex plays, and he could turn out to be one of this summers best 'new signings' lol.

ps - Heres a recent chat/discussion I had with the Leeds Mad board fans about Alex. Do any of you lot on here agree or disagree for example, with their comments ?.

I think if he makes a good start to the season then a contract should be offered around November time. Long enough for him to have possibly established himself in the side and early enough so that it’s not close to the final 6 months of his contract.

Could be a difficult decision for the club to make depending on how he performs.

He was superb. Best player on the park, absolutely ran the midfield until he was moved out to the left.

He was one of the fittest last pre-season though wasn’t he? Could be wrong mind.

He was fit last year. Think it was more a confidence issue. Moving from Leeds, desperate to impress, red card on debut, sent out on loan. Perhaps it just needed some time to settle and now with the right manager and support we’ll see the player who was so good when he first broke through at Leeds.
